Ever since the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001, one country has suffered more than the United States. Afghanistan has gone through numerous government changes as a result of the United States led coalition of the War on Terror.
The political landscape in Afghanistan is quite perplexing and highly unstable. The citizens of Afghanistan are not afforded the same luxuries as other modern countries.
Things that we take for granted such as shutters on our windows or a nice car, are an impossible dream for the average Afghanistan citizen. Afghanistan is a country that is changing rapidly, both in terms of culture and government.
Afghanistan has a long and rich history in the Middle East. Prior to the war on terror, Afghanistan was a country that had very little policing or democracy. The United States led coalition helped to rid Afghanistan of its corruptness.
There is still much rebuilding to happen in Afghanistan, and it has to start in the political realm. Only recently has Afghanistan been able to handle its own civic duties such as having a police force or local government.
The history of Afghani politics tells us that the reformation is not over, and that eventually another change will take place. This may not happen in our life time, but rest assured the conditions will be met. Regardless of the current situation in Afghanistan, it will only be a matter of time before a coup happens, and Afghani politics will once again be in disarray.
